When summer arrives, it is common that the frequency of sending is reduced or the contents are adapted to cover lighter topics. With good planning, it is possible to take advantage of some world days and still be present in the inbox of customers to meet our goals.

Here are 10 suggestions for your July email marketing campaigns!

Joke Day

1 July is a perfect day to use humour in your email marketing and ask your community to participate. For example: start by telling a joke, either as a meme or  in text, and organise a contest for them to come up with a funny joke about your product or brand. It can be a campaign on different channels and thus achieve followers and subscribers at the same time.

“Plastic Bag Free” Day

If you own a shop, celebrating 3 July is an opportunity to demonstrate your responsibility to the environment. Send out a campaign explaining what actions you have taken over the last year, include if you can a number to give context, such as how many bags you have stopped selling, or show what alternatives you offer.

eBook Day

It's not as well-known as Book Day, perhaps because it's much better known as Independence Day in the US, but 4 July is also eBook Day. If you have lead magnets for your inbound campaigns, you can make a selection, like the one we did recently in Acrelia, and turn it into a thematic pack to download, reduce the price if they are paid or create a new exclusive one.

World Rock Day

13 July is a very musical day, perfect for promoting that Spotify playlist that's always playing in the office, the song they hum in a department or the lyrics that represent your brand so well. If, in addition, your business is related to festivals, music shows or concerts, it is the best day to propose the following and sell more tickets, for example with an offer that celebrates the occasion.

Emoji Day

You may not have thought that those symbols you use every day in your different communications have a worldwide celebration, but yes, 17 July is Emoji Day. There are several reasons and places to include them in your newsletters, but you can also make a promotional campaign that has them as protagonists and increase engagement and recommendations among your subscribers.

Self-Care Day

This day is celebrated on 24 July to promote physical and mental health. Healthy lifestyles are important all year round, but on this day, you can send out a campaign to explain how your product or brand cares about the self-care of your customers or even your internal team. Very appropriate in sectors related to nature, physical activity, food or personal hygiene.

Grandparents' Day

All family members have their own day and 26 July is Grandparents' Day. Suggest to your list of contacts a list of gifts for their elders, thinking of proposals that are different and personalised to their age. Also, bear in mind that there may be people who have suffered a recent loss and do not want to receive messages of this kind.

Friendship Day

30 July is the day when friendship is celebrated and this can take many forms, such as people from different studies, jobs or cities through which we have passed, even between people and animals. It is a theme that can be interesting for different sectors, also to motivate them to make us known among their contacts and achieve a 2x1 for both.

In July there are several days that can be interesting for catering companies: 1 July is fruit day; 7 July is cocoa day and 13 July is also French fries’ day. The second Friday of the month is kebab day, the 21st is gazpacho day and the 30th is cheesecake day. There is so much to choose from that you can even associate yourself with a country's culture or simply remember your origins.

Regional holidays

San Fermín on 7 July and Santiago on 25 July are two festivities that can affect your business hours and that you should communicate to your customers. They are also important days for the tourism sector, which can send suggestions to increase bookings, both for these dates and for the rest of the summer.
